Born and raised in the incandescence of the Colombian Caribbean, I grew up surrounded by the rhythms of drums and the whirl of carnival dances—an explosion of color and celebration. Yet, amid the vibrant chaos, I found solace in solitude, inventing my own world of observation. As a child, I would escape to rooftops, perching for hours to watch the shifting hues of the sky, the quiet choreography of trees, and the lives unfolding below. Observation became contemplation, my closest companion, shaping the way I saw and felt the world around me.
As an adult, I found myself walking the streets for hours, chasing the fleeting light of dawn and dusk, seeking out the stillness hidden within the movement of the city. Photography became my way of capturing the instant where time holds its breath, revealing that every passing second of everyday life is a universe unto itself, brimming with magic.
